Update on DUIF Recruiting Efforts

Dear Fellow DU Alumni Brothers,

We wanted to take this opportunity to inform you Delta Upsilon International Fraternity (“DUIF”) has secured a total of 36 young men to form the next incoming DU class at Bucknell. Congratulations to Michelle Marchand, Hayden Rahn and Sam Schmelzer of DUIF for their dedicated work in securing these “Founding Fathers” for the next incoming DU class.

The procurement of 36 young men for next year’s incoming class is a truly incredible achievement. With 36 new members, we will be able to meet the minimum occupancy threshold to be able to occupy our new fraternity house on campus. DU will once again have a physical presence on Bucknell’s campus.

We continue to be humbled by the outpouring of support we have received from you – our Alumni – regarding the efforts to re-open the Chapter and re-establish DU’s presence on campus. We will be looking to you for your financial support to cover the anticipated “start-up” costs associated with the House and to ensure the long term viability of DU on Bucknell’s campus.

As your Alumni Board, it continues to be our privilege to work on your behalf to ensure the re-opening of our House and the successful return of Delta Upsilon to Bucknell’s campus. To this end, we would like to hear from you regarding your thoughts, concerns and wishes regarding the re-opening of DU at Bucknell. Please feel free to reach out to me or any other of the Alumni Board members listed below.

Fraternally Yours,
